English Language Program for International Instructors (ELP-ii)

English Language Program for International Instructors (ELP-ii) is a service within the Teaching and Learning Commons Engaged Teaching Hub. 

English Language Program for International Instructors (ELP-ii):

  • provides classes to international graduate students with a teaching assistant position to prepare to teach at UC San Diego.
  • supports campus community members to respond to the cultural and linguistic diversity of the campus.
  • foster a culture of belonging for the teaching and learning of instructors and all students.

ELP-ii offers the following services and resources:

English Language Certification Exam (ELCE)

Beginning academic year 2023-2024, English Language Certification Exam (ELCE) will be administered by English Language Institute. For more information about ELCE, please visit the Division of Extended Studies’ services for international graduate students. For questions about ELCE, please contact ip-itaprogram@ucsd.edu
