Stacey Livingstone

Graduate Teaching Consultant

Hello my name is Stacey Livingstone and I am a PhD Candidate in the Sociology Department where I conduct research on housing insecurity and homelessness in San Diego and teach classes that center on inequalities in the United States. I love teaching and have been very lucky to co-teach a bridge course through UC Extension’s Academic Connections for years, serve as my department’s Lead Teaching Assistant and Remote Lead Teaching Assistant and participate in a Research Apprenticeship program that allowed me to teach five undergraduate students about housing insecurity’s impact on student success through the lens of community participatory action research. I was also the proud winner of the Barbara and Paul Saltman Excellent Teaching Award for Graduate Students for academic year 2019-2020. I am very excited to work for the Engaged Teaching Hub as I have previously benefitted from the courses and workshops they provide and recognize that I am stepping into a wonderful team environment.
