Reina Mizrahi

Graduate Teaching Consultant

Reina Mizrahi is a PhD candidate in UC San Diego’s Department of Cognitive Science, where she researches bilingual language processing at different stages of language development. Her current work focuses on when and how bilingual children can identify the language(s) they speak as well as how bilingual adults are able to use two languages with such ease. Reina is committed to inspiring and advancing teaching excellence by working with educators in the earliest stages of their teaching careers. She is also passionate about facilitating student learning by identifying and implementing strategies that bridge gaps in students’ knowledge. Reina has served as a teaching assistant to various courses within cognitive science but has mainly gained her teaching experience from mentoring undergraduate research assistants. Regardless of where her career path goes, she knows teaching will always be a part of it.
